On March 9, the investigative program Spotlight on Rai News 24 aired a report titled “Riders and Digital Gangmastering”, examining the risks and key challenges associated with work models organized through digital platforms. These include often inadequate pay, a strong economic dependence on apps, and algorithm-driven work management systems, factors that significantly affect working conditions across the sector.

The issue is currently at the center of public - and, above all, judicial - debate, as evidenced by the recent investigations conducted by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office in the food delivery sector.

Among those interviewed was our Founding Partner, Andrea Puccio, who emphasized that the core focus of the investigation is riders’ remuneration. This is a matter on which companies and the Prosecutor’s Office will be called upon to strike a balance, also in light of the guidance set out in the recent measures adopted by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office.
