While he welcomes the formalised obligation for digital platforms to guarantee the safety and health, including the mental health, of their workers, he points out that the new legislation merely requires platforms to assess whether the guarantees of their automated systems are adequate to the risks identified in view of the specific characteristics of the working environments and to introduce appropriate prevention and protection measures, without, however, providing detailed indications on the risks and their management.
